This contemporary Polish Box was created in a traditional geometric pattern using natural and dyed straw to give the optical illusion to movement. From around 1950 this Linden wood box has had straw delicately applied to the surface. Note that the design has few elements that are unique, but rather uses the combination of a few shapes to create a beautiful design.
