These elements are made entirely of straw threads. Rosengabeln This 'flower" was created by weaving two threads tied together around three long needles. The thread ends are slipped through the eye of one needle, the thread removed and gathered to form the flower-like shape. Schürlilirösli This piece is made of a single thread wrapped around two needles. Hufeisen This horseshoe shape is created with two or three threads tied together. Schnürlihörnli This leaf, or half-horseshoe is created with a single thread. Fern A separate thread is used to wrap between each set of "leaves".
